Mission Statement of the Jordan Valley Conservation Gardens Foundation
The Jordan Valley Conservation Gardens Foundation was organized to support the Jordan Valley Water Conservancy District in its efforts to reduce the demand for water and to provide for future water needs through its conservation programs and the development of Water Conservation Demonstration Gardens (Demonstration Gardens). The Foundation’s mission is to solicit and raise funds and contributions for the design, construction, operations, maintenance, and management of Demonstration Gardens for the purpose of: 1) encouraging and facilitating water conservation and the wise and prudent use of water in the landscape; 2) featuring the principles of water-wise landscaping; 3) displaying water conserving Utah-native and climate-adapted plants in an aesthetic and inspiring setting; 4) engaging in research and testing on plants and irrigation technologies and disseminating the results to the general public; and 5) increasing visitation and attendance.
In carrying forth its mission, the Jordan Valley Conservation Gardens Foundation will strive to cultivate and develop positive and effective relationships, provide leadership, and communicate a compelling case for support of Demonstration Gardens and its purposes.
